SHAYKH IBRAHIM NIASSE'S WORKS: INTERPRETATION FROM ARABIC: PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW): THE POSSESSOR OF AN EXALTED CHARACTER

TAFSIR (EXPLANATION) OF "VERILY, YOU (MUHAMMAD) ARE ON AN EXALTED CHARACTER {WA INNAKA LA’ALAA KHULQIN AZEEM}"

من درر و لذيذ إشارات مولانا شيخ الإسلام الشيخ ابراهيم انياس رضي الله عنه

الحمد لله و العبد لله

(قال تعالى:~ ( وإنك لعلى خلق عظيم ...

The Most High says, Verily you (Muhammad) are on an exalted character

أخبر الجليل تبارك و تعالى أن محمدا صلى الله عليه و سلم على خلق عظيم

The Majestic One, Glorified and Exalted is He, has informed us that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the possessor of an exalted character

قالت عائشة: ~كان خلقه القرآن~ . من أحب أن يعرف خلق محمد فليقرأ القرآن

A'isha said, 'His character was the Qur'an', so whoever would like to know the character of Muhammad, just read the Qur'an

" قد أفلح المؤمنون الذين هم في صلاتهم خاشعون والذين هم عن اللغو معرضون والذين هم للزكاة فاعلون.....الى آخر السورة , هذه أخلاق محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Allah says in the Qur'an, 'Verily the Believers are successful! Those who are humble with reverential awe in their Salat, those who shun and avoid vain discourse, those who give the Zakat...' until the end of the Surah. This is the character of Muhammad, SAWS

أخلاق محمد القرآن , كل ما أمر به القرآن يقوم به وكل ما نهى عنه القرآن لم يقرب منه صلى الله عليه وسلم , بل القرآن هو عين محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم

The character of Muhammad is the Qur'an. Muhammad (saws) did everything which is commanded in the Qur'an and he never approached anything which was forbidden or prohibited in the Qur'an. In fact, the Qur'an is the Source of Muhammad, SAWS

القرآن معنوي ومحمد حسي فكل ما في القرآن فهو فى محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى أنك إذا تفكرت تجد أن القرآن تشخص في محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد المطلب. هذا معنى وهذا حس , جاء القرآن مخصوصا بوجود محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد المطلب

The Qur'an is spiritual (ma'nawi), while Muhammad is physical (hissi). Everything that is in the Qur'an is in Muhammad; to the point that if you think deeply about it, you will see that the Qur'an personified itself in the corporeal form of Muhammad b. Abdullahi b. Abdul Mutalib (saws). So in this is both the spiritual and the physical, as the Qur'an came exclusively with the manifestation or existence of Muhammad b. Abdullahi b. Abdul Mutalib, SAWS

تجمع فيه أخلاق الأنبياء و الأنبياء لهم مكارم الأخلاق و لكن تفاوتوا في بعض الأخلاق

In him (saws) is gathered all of the beautiful character traits of the former Prophets, which were diversely spread among the various Prophets

في محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم صفاء آدم , و في محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم شكر نوح , و في محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم خلة إبراهيم , و في محمد صلى الله عليه و سلم إخلاص موسى , و في محمد صلى الله عليه و سلم صبر آيوب و زهد عيسى و يحيى , و في محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم صبر و شكر يوسف هو جمع بين المقامين فابتلي أولا فصبر و أعطي النعمة أخيرا فشكر

In Muhammad (saws) is found the purity of Adam; in (saws) is found the gratitude of Nuh; in Muhammad (saws) is found the friendship of Ibrahim; in Muhammad (saws) is found the sincerity of Musa; in Muhammad (saws) is found the patient perseverance of Ayyub, and asceticism of Isa and Yahya; and in Muhammad (saws) is found the gratitude and patience of Yusuf. He embodied the two spiritual stations (of gratitude and patience) together: having first been tested with hardship and bore it patiently, and then having later enjoyed the blessings of prosperity and ease and showed thanksgiving and gratitude

(فلهذا خاطبه القرآن, أولئك الذين هدى الله فبهداهم اقتده)

This is why the Qur'an addresses him saying, 'These Prophets are those whom Allah guided, so follow their way

اقتدى بهم في أي شيء؟ ليس في الشريعة فشريعته ناسخة لشرائعهم فلا يمكنه أن يقتدي بهم في الشريعة ولكن كلهم جمع مكارم الأخلاق وكل ما تفرق فيهم اجتمع فيه هو صلى الله عليه وسلم

Follow them in what exactly? It is not referring to their Sacred laws, because his Sacred Law (shariah) abrogated all of those; so it's impossible for it to be referring to their Sacred laws. What it's referring to is the various beautiful characteristics which were dispersed among the Prophets, that are comprehensively found in Muhammad,.SAWS

فهو فرد جمع , هو محمد جميع الأنبياء , و أخلاق جميع الأنبياء و كمالاتهم و مكارم أخلاقهم فيه صلى الله عليه و سلم.فلهذا وصفه الحق بأن خلقه عظيم

For Muhammad is 'Fard Jami' (The Unique Congregate). He is Muhammad and the entire host of Prophets! All of the beautiful character traits and perfections of the Prophets is gathered in Muhammad (saws). This is why the Real describes him as having an exalted character

~( و إنك لعلى خلق عظيم )~

Verily you (Muhammad) are on an exalted character.

*رضي الله عن مولانا شيخ الإسلام وسعادة الأنام و رزقنا فهم إشاراته ومكنون عباراته

May Allah be pleased with Mawlana Shaykh al Islam wa Sa'adat al Anam and grant us understanding of his subtle indications and hidden expressions…Ameen!
